Food Trip #9: House Of Lasagna Cakes and Pastries

Sunday, March 13, 2011
One of my favorite foods is lasagna. The first time I tried lasagna is back when I ordered lasagna in Greenwich, I really love the taste of cheese melting on my taste buds. So bringing back those memories, Marjorie and I went to Wilson Greenhills, San Juan to visit a famous restaurant which carters lasagna as their house specialty.

The owner of this restaurant is Chef Erick Congmon, a very friendly approachable person. He always make sure that his customers are very comfortable in what they eat and also comfortable in his place.

So what we ordered are, of course their house specialty. Mine is Pesto Lasagna and Marjorie choose Chicken Lasagna. What I liked about this restaurant, is ALL LASAGNAS ARE SERVED WITH UNLIMITED GARLIC BREAD!!

Isn't that awesome?!?! I just love the word UNLIMITED! It keeps me going! Haha.

Can you see the picture below? Their lasagna is OVERFLOWING with cheese, it's so powerful that it overpowered the pesto taste. Their pasta is not too soggy, or thick, just perfect. Though I really don't mind if it has too many cheese, by the way I LOVE CHEESE. :)

As you can, they put the lasagna on a ceramic plate(don't know what it is called) and take note! IT'S VERY HOT!
The proof that it came out in the oven. So be careful not to touch it. We get careless when you're very hungry(based on experienced). Haha

I also love their chicken lasagna, still the mouthwatering cheese and the combination of the chicken meat. It was perfect.

I also love their home made garlic bread, though i did not like it, it's not crunchy, I think they already made few of those before we came, so it is not freshly baked (I'm not sure of this). But the taste is perfect. :) I think I ate 20 of those. Hahaha.

Their cakes and pastries, we haven't tried their cakes because we are in a hurry, but I really want to taste all of them. Too bad. I love sweets. :)

Over all, it was the best lasagna so far. I will be coming back for sure in this restaurant, and still order the same thing. Those lasagna are too good. I really recommend this restaurant for lasagna, and cheese lovers out there.
