Food Trip #13: Sizzling Pepper Steak

Sunday, March 27, 2011 0 comments
Sunday is a sundate day. So Marjorie and I went to Robinson's Galleria Mall in Ortigas, but before we eat. We went first at Victory Christian Fellowship to listen to the word of God.

-o0o-

We decided to eat at Sizzling Pepper Steak. Their cuisines are Japanese food combined with the Sizzling touch  like a Sizzling Sisig Pinoy style.

Food Trip #12: Mcdo's BIG MAC

Sunday, March 20, 2011 4 comments
Actually we already have a post here about Mcdonalds, but as I've said in my post, I will be posting again about their infamous BIG MAC. Is it really big? Haha. Let's find out.

When we ordered big mac, the girl in the cashier told us if it's okay to wait for 3-5mins? WTF! I though this is a FAST FOOD restaurant? Anyway I got no choice but to wait.

When I saw the BIG MAC. I'm very DISAPPOINTED! Is it big? NO?! Definitely not! I rather choose two cheese burger rather than this!

Food Trip #11: Starbuck's Belgian Waffle

To be honest, I've been hooked with Starbucks these past few month because of their promo last November, to collect stickers and get a free planner! But after that promo, I'm still craving for more... More Belgian Waffles.

So we ordered Starbuck's Belgian Waffle. You can actually choose which syrup you want. If you want chocolate, strawberry or caramel. Actually I like caramel but Marjorie LOVES  (and i mean it!) CHOCOLATE! Haha. So I had no choice but to choose chocolate syrup.

I really love the waffle of Starbucks, it's very sweet (i also love sweets), crunchy inside, and combine with the whip cream + chocolate syrup = PERFECT! It is better if you could drink a cup of Starbucks coffee too. A PERFECT combination.

Overall I really love the combination of this waffle. Nothing beats Starbucks. A two thumbs up. :)

Food Trip #10: Reyes Barbecue

Friday, March 18, 2011 0 comments
Marjorie and I went to the mall last Saturday at Market market in Taguig. We found ourselves craving for CHICKEN!! Actually it's Marjorie's tummy that is craving, not mine. Haha. So we decided to eat at Reyes Barbecue founded by Frank Reyes.

So we ended up ordering their Chicken Barbecue (boneless), their best seller.

When we received our food, I really love the combination of peanut sauce and the java rice. Though it is my first time to try that combination, but it really suits the taste. I also love their atchara, it really best side dish for grilled foods. Although some people really don't like the taste of atchara.

I also like the chicken meat, it's so tender and easy to eat.

Overall I really love the combination of their sauce, java rice, and of course their chicken barbecue. It is just worth to try. Their servings are not that large, so Mang Inasal's Chicken is much larger than theirs. It's your choice but I wont recommend it to chicken lovers out there.

Food Trip #9: House Of Lasagna Cakes and Pastries

Sunday, March 13, 2011 2 comments
One of my favorite foods is lasagna. The first time I tried lasagna is back when I ordered lasagna in Greenwich, I really love the taste of cheese melting on my taste buds. So bringing back those memories, Marjorie and I went to Wilson Greenhills, San Juan to visit a famous restaurant which carters lasagna as their house specialty.

-o0o-
The owner of this restaurant is Chef Erick Congmon, a very friendly approachable person. He always make sure that his customers are very comfortable in what they eat and also comfortable in his place.

(c/o House of Lasagna facebook page)

So what we ordered are, of course their house specialty. Mine is Pesto Lasagna and Marjorie choose Chicken Lasagna. What I liked about this restaurant, is ALL LASAGNAS ARE SERVED WITH UNLIMITED GARLIC BREAD!!

Isn't that awesome?!?! I just love the word UNLIMITED! It keeps me going! Haha.

Can you see the picture below? Their lasagna is OVERFLOWING with cheese, it's so powerful that it overpowered the pesto taste. Their pasta is not too soggy, or thick, just perfect. Though I really don't mind if it has too many cheese, by the way I LOVE CHEESE. :)

As you can, they put the lasagna on a ceramic plate(don't know what it is called) and take note! IT'S VERY HOT!

Food Trip #8: H.I.D. Burgers (Healthy Irresistable Delicious Burgers)

Saturday, March 5, 2011 1 comments
Tried eating a burger that is healthy? Well that's hard to find these days. I accidentally found one, just because of the also called "tawag ng tiyan". While Marjorie and I, are cruising the road, I felt hunger, so we stopped by a Phoenix Gasoline station owned by Manny Pacquiao(not sure Haha), and beside that gasoline station is restaurant for burger and alcohol lovers. HID it is!

-o0o-

Actually, they just opened last 1-11-11, pretty cool? Anyway this picture below it contain signatures of our Mayor, some friends i think, etc. Haha.

So when we looked at the menu, they actually don't have different combination of burgers, and what i liked about this place is the price of their burgers is not to high compared to other store. So Marjorie ordered Cheese Bomb, and I ordered Sicilian(I did a hard time pronouncing that word. Haha)

  -o0o-

When we got our order, my FIRST IMPRESSION is wow! Looks yummy, even though it still have a foil on it. My SECOND IMPRESSION is WTF! I doesn't look tasty, I almost felt that it is not worth to take pictures. My THIRD IMPRESSION is WTF WTF WTF! Haha. Very tasty!

They are not using buns unlike jolibee, and mcdo. They are using pandesal as their bun, and also their patty IS VERY YUMMMMMY, they use 100% chicken meat. :) They really live as their name is HEALTH, IRRESISTABLE, DELICIOUS. But I really don't know if its healthy. Haha.

I really recommend this for you. If you are a burger lover, try this one. I promise that you wont' regret their burgers. But one thing that i don't like is there are a lot of people drinking, and smoking. I recommend you to visit them 3-6pm, that is the time when they don't have a lot of customers.

Food Trip #7: Aling Kika's Food Products

Tuesday, March 1, 2011 0 comments
Our food trip will go to Cainta Municipality in the Province of Rizal. Actually Cainta is the Bibingka capital of the Philippines, and the truth is I live in this municipality for almost 15 years of my life and i do not know that Cainta is famous in this kind of Industry, so we checked it out Aling Kika's Bibingka that it is running for almost 20 years or more.

So we tried their round shape bibinka, with different kinds. I forgot how much it is but I think it ranges from 100-150 pesos. When we tasted their product, it was worth the price. I cannot explain exactly the taste but it is sure tasty.
 -o0o-

Well they also have other products other than kakanin. So it is really worth to try! Why is Cainta called Bibingka capital of the Philippines. You should try it your self.
